When I was looking for new shoes, I wasn't going for anything meant for extreme workouts (at least not yet). I just wanted something for general workouts and was comfortable enough for work. I had originally tried the 711v2 trainers, but I didn't care for the odd cushioning in the heel. I think this style came out like a week later and I was just dancing around deciding whether or not to try them since they were new.I honestly don't know what people mean anymore when they say something "fit as expected". To me, these fit like a smallish size 6 that fits perfect with thin socks and snug with thicker socks. This is meant to be a fairly minimalistic shoe, and is constructed to fit more closely to the foot. If you like to wear thicker socks I would suggest trying to up size by 1/2 or by width. My foot is sort of narrow with the exception of my big toes which unfortunately have bunions. A regular width fits my foot fairly closely, though I personally feel like I have plenty of room in the toe box.The color is accurate to the photo, though I must say the overall look of the shoe is kind of odd - not that I dislike it. Why doesn't the mesh go all around the shoe I don't know. But it feels well constructed and does provide some support. The sole isn't too stiff or too flexible, and there's plenty of rubber on the bottom for traction. I don't know how these would work for really intensive workouts, but I feel like this shoe is a good all-around trainer (I don't know much about training). Interestingly, this is a bit of arch support. Nothing crazy of course, certainly not enough for someone with higher arches like myself (if you wear orthotics you're definitely going to have to size up - luckily the liner is removable). Cushioning-wise I'd say they're average, but again, I don't do high-intensity workouts. They're certainly comfortable enough for me while I'm working since I'm on my feet most of the time.Overall, I like the shoes. I sort of wish they came in all black, but the pink color actually looks really nice. If they come out with an all-black pair I will most definitely purchase them. I feel that these make good general trainers, and the small amount of arch support is nice. They do run a little narrow, so keep that in mind when buying. I'll update as I wear them for durability
