Super user friendly but you need to know if you have 300 vs 700 etc. it’s on the base box in the garage. I was able to link it to the actual Invisible Fence brand for our second dog. Works just one the name brand for 1/3 the price!Damaged through Amazon. The one ordered directly with Perimeter works great.Worked right out of the box as a replacement for the original collar on my system that was installed in 1997.Invisible Fence wouldn’t even sell me a collar and they wanted to install a new system for $1000s of dollars.Found this collar and saved a ton of money. Works as described and I would recommend.I bought this collar in January 2014 to replace an "Invisible Fence" brand collar that had stopped working and it has performed flawlessly for my German Shepherd. She really doesn't test her fence boundaries any more and was very easy to train to respect the fence, but this replacement collar has worked very well and gives a loud audible signal and I test it every month or two. I have never tried to shock myself to test that feature. Considering the cost of an "Invisible Fence" replacement collar I think this is an outstanding replacement. Additionally, I researched replacement batteries for this collar and have found that the Duracell 28L photo battery works. The battery is a tiny bit longer, maybe a millimeter or two, than the 2CR1/3N type battery that perimeter sells, but the 28L screwed down and sealed into my collar with just a little more effort. The Duracell 28L batteries were purchased on Amazon with prime for $29.90 for four batteries (7.48 each) versus $9.95 for a single Perimeter brand battery and personally I trust the Duracell battery more.They work great, I recommend buying an extra battery unit with each collar. You must make sure you buy the correct frequency for your transmitter unit. In addition I bought the flags to mark the perimeter of the inv fence. The dogs learned very fast. It would be nice to bring the cost of the unit down however. But it's better than paying an extra $90 for the brand name collar. Which isn't even available on Amazon prime.The collar receiver says that it will work with my transmitter but it does not. I was looking forward to using this. Just a waste of time. Please put correct information on this!Did not work at all, can’t returnThey are not to the same standards as the invisible fence collar. It it about $100 cheaper but it shows. It wouldn’t work with batteries that it should and as far as being water proof NO.I have two labs so you can’t keep them out of water. This collar only lasted 5 months. The invisible fence collar lasted 5 years and with the cap battery never had an issue with water. It’s not worth the little money you save if your dog runs away.
