If you're trying to train your puppies/dogs not to do certain things, this might do the trick. Our puppies have plenty of room to run, but seem to be determined to attack the sprinkler heads or to thrash around in/on the shrubs, breaking off large branches. The buzz/vibrate/shock part of the collar is a bit bulky, so it's not something you would want or need to leave on at all times. In fact, the best way to use it would be sit in view of the dogs as they go about their business. You might have to "create a situation" in which you'd like to change their behavior, i.e., put the collars on, turn on the sprinkler system, and when they 'attack' your sprinkler heads, give them a light buzz. If they don't respond, you can use the low 'shock.' It's not bad. We tried it on ourselves first. For something that's always available to them, such as shrubbery, you would have to sit outside for long periods of time and just watch, ready with the remote to 'zap' them when they get to wild around the plants/shrubs. If you have time to do that, it should deter them even when you're not watching. We haven't found enough time yet, lol. The few times we've tried it, just the "vibrate" mode gets their attention. If they persist, the low shock mode has distracted them from whatever destructive behavior they're doing. We need to spend more time with it, but I think it's probably pretty effective.Have 2 little reactive barkers.. These collars work. Could be smaller to fit my pups and it is hard to see controller settings in the sunlight. Range is somewhat lacking but it is important to remember these are a training tool and requires dedication to administer the proper signal at the right time to be effective.We love this dual dog training collars, it works perfect for what we needed to keep our little dogs in our yard and teach them to come when called. And they are nice and small on our 10 and 11 lb. dogs.Very strong and batteries last long for such a small device. It's a little big on my dog wick but he is only 3.9lbs so everything is big on him. I got the set of 2 because I have another chiweenie but he's not big enough to wear the collar yet but he's not a barker either!Charged both collars & remote until green light. The remote would not sync with the units was first problem. 2nd there are way too many steps to connect the collar strap to the unit. The face plate wouldn’t even stay on to begin with plus ordered pink & they sent blue. If I have to go to YouTube for help since instructions must have been written by a Chinese male teenager then the product is not for me so returned. I have had two Pet Tainers that are still going strong after 4 years & love them but wanted a smaller version so thought this would be the answer. Didn’t even need instructions for the Pet Trainer. Just slide the collar through the unit & ready to go. The remote super easy for anyone to use. So disappointed that this product didn’t work out.We have two dachshunds; one that will whine quite a bit and the other that is afraid of other dogs and starts barking like crazy when other dogs are around. For the whiner, we only need to signal a tone to stop the whining, and for the barker, the vibration on level 7 is the most we have to go. We only one time had to use the static shock feature on him at a very low level once. He’s become a much easier dog to walk and take out, and is also much more at ease. We were absolutely against this type of training, but it really has been a life-saver.
