It's high-quality; a great idea, but in actual use, it FAILS. Here's how: We LIKED that we could put it on (our chihuahua) like a necklace-with-a-clasp, if you will - (but don't be confused, here: this chain DOESN'T HAVE an actual "clasp") 'cause our dog, a rescue, doesn't like a conventional chain-collar slid-on, YELPING every time. Sometimes, rescue dogs are abused before they're rescued, and they NEVER seem to forget that abuse :( ... So we were elated to find THIS collar - until we learned that, when not connected to a leash, this collar would spontaneously COME OFF! - The FIT was PERFECT - and "Pixie" was NOT irritated by the collar, and she DIDN'T struggle to get it OFF of herself - nonetheless, the collar managed to find that sweet spot where the batman-looking "clasp" looking bit would slip through, and the collar would fall off... We found the collar in some random places - we suppose it'd come off while she was walking - but the fourth time it came off, we never FOUND it. So, you're no doubt saying to yourself, "Well, we'll just take it OFF after a walk, keep it with her leash, until the NEXT walk!" Yeah. That's what WE thought, too! 'Cept that, it's not a natural function to remove a dog's collar every time you return from a walk - and we FORGOT to remove it more frequently than we remembered to take it off, and eventually, that collar slipped off and we STILL haven't found it. We settled on a choke COLLAR instead of a choke CHAIN - the collar goes on with an actual, locking clasp, and there's a brilliant "loop" with a metal ring on it to attach your leash to, and when pulled on, the "loop" pulls outward, and it brings the collar together, creating that tightening, or, "choke" function, that prevents the collar from slipping-off during those moments when you ABSOLUTELY don't want a collar failure, where it'll slip off in the heat of a, "...GET the KITTY!" exchange! :D - So, we're going to RETURN this removable vs. slip-off-able chain collar, as soon as we FIND it again! Easy to put on and take off but it'll turn your dogs neck black.Fortunately my dog didn't get in the street or anything, but this collar broke.I have a pit perfect for him but I need a bigger one know if you have an xl pit need thicker chainI bought this for my teacup chihuahua & that’s a no. This collar is too small for my dog even though I measured her current choke chain. No paperwork was included and I couldn't find a way to return it through Amazon.18 inch fit my small pitbull well, shes like 45 poundsMy dog was wearing this collar for 2 days when I noticed his neck was badly scratched up and bleeding. I couldn't believe it. This is not safe for your pet.
